  • Choose the right time to visit the trek: The best time to walk on the Mardi Trail depends on your time and preference. Generally, the right to visit Mardi is March-May and September-November. Itinerary Guide for Mardi Himal Trek Route

The Mardi Himal Trek Itinerary depends on where you start the trek. You have options, either to start from Kathmandu or Pokhara. 7 Days Mardi Himal Trek Itinerary starts from Kathmandu. Whereas, Mardi Himal Trek 5 Days begins from Pokhara. If you start the trek from Kathmandu, the journey begins towards Pokhara on a tourist bus and ends with a drive back to Kathmandu. However, from Pokhara, the trek starts directly from starting point Kande and ends at Siddhing with a Jeep drive back to Pokhara.

Day 01: Drive to Pokhara on a tourist bus

Day 02: Drive to Kande and trek to Pittam Deurali (2125 meters, 4-5 hours)

Day 03: Trek from Pittam Deurali to Low Camp (3150 meters, 5-6 hours)

Day 04: Trek from Low Camp to High Camp (3800 meters, 5-6 hours)

Day 05: Trek from High Camp to Mardi Base Camp and hike down Bandal Danda (3200 meters, 7-8 hours)

Day 06: Trek from Bandal Danda to Siddhing and drive back to Pokhara (850 meters, 4-5 hours)

Day 07: Drive back to Kathmandu in a tourist bus.

Mardi Himal Trek Route Difficulty

The trek begins with a gradual uphill climb from Kande with several ascents and descents. The beginning part of the trail is easy. You will walk through the small villages and forests until you reach the High Camp. However, the trail goes through a narrow path from the High Camp to Mardi Himal Base Camp. Likewise, you will find the trail on the edge of the ridges, offering outstanding views. As a beginner’s High camp -basecamp can be slightly difficult but doable.
