Good to Know

Chances of getting altitude sickness during Short ABC Trek

Altitude sickness is something no one wants during the trek in high altitude. This ABC Trek takes you to a height of 4130 meters, which can cause you altitude sickness because of the rapid hike. If you are experienced and used to hiking in high elevations, there is less chance of getting sick. However, for beginners, it can be a risk. Yet, our team at Mountain Eco will take of you and check on you regularly during your journey.

Accommodations and Meals

The accommodation during the ABC Trek is in Teahouses. It is included in the package price. The teahouses are very basic and simple with twin bed sharing room. Likewise, in MBC and ABC, it is difficult to get a private attached Bathroom. Almost all teahouses have shared bathrooms. Hence, we recommend bringing your toiletries.

The meals during the whole trip are served on teahouses. You will take your breakfast and dinner to the teahouse you stay overnight. However, the lunch will be taken during the trek on the best available teahouse. You can choose the foods from the menu set by ACAP. There is a wide range of meals on the menu. We suggest taking vegetarian meals and soups throughout the journey. Your meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner), are included in the price. However, your snacks, or drinks are not included.

ABC Trek on Spring and Autumn

Most of the travelers choose the months of Spring and Autumn to do ABC Trekking. These months are best for clear views, mild temperatures, and festival vibes around the country. Trekkers get the chance to experience the Himalayan views with the cultural sights too.

Besides those two seasons, ABC Trekking in winter and monsoon is also possible. However, weather changes and other unforeseen situations are always risky. In the winter, the temperature drops down to -16 to -20 degrees. Landslides, slippery trails, cloudy views, etc. can be expected in the monsoon.

ACAP permit Card cost for ABC Trek

To do the Annapurna Trekking, you must have an ACAP permit card to enter the Annapurna Region. It costs NPR 3000 per individual for foreigners. Whereas, for SAARC countries, you must pay NPR 1000 per person. Mountain Eco Trails helps you in getting this permit card for your hike to ABC.
