  • Everest Base Camp Trek Via Jiri provides you enough time to acclimate.

  • Enough exploration of the Sherpa Villages

EBC Trek via Lukla

  • Perfect for those who want to do the Everest Base Camp Trek in 14 Days.

The only way to reach Jiri from Kathmandu is via Jeep or Bus. However, recently, Kathmandu to Jiri is only possible by Jeep because of the road condition. However, after completing the trek to EBC, the return journey will be via Lukla. On the last day of the trek, you will fly back to Kathmandu from Lukla.

Best season for Everest Base Camp via Jiri

Just like other treks in Nepal, the best time to visit the Everest Base Camp Trek from Jiri is in the Spring and Autumn seasons. It is due to these seasons offers stunning views of the mountains and provide stable weather conditions for the trek.

How to acclimatise on the Jiri to EBC trek?

Well, acclimatisation during the EBC Trek from Jiri is much easier than directly from Lukla. Starting from the Jiri route, the trek begins at nearly 2000 metres of elevation, which is 800 metres lower than Lukla's 2860 metres. From Jiri, the gradual ascent takes you to Phakding at 2610 metres and then to Namche at 3440 metres. This slow ascent greatly benefits trekkers by aiding acclimatisation. Additionally, in our 20-Day Everest Base Camp Trek via Jiri, we include two extra days for acclimatisation, at Namche and Dingboche. Proper acclimatisation like this helps prevent altitude sickness in the Everest region.
