Mohare Danda Trek is a new short trekking trail from Pokhara around the foothill of the Annapurna Region. It is also popular as the Mohare Danda Community Trek, which helps to develop the local community of this trekking trail. Mohare Danda is a perfect alternative for the popular short trek Ghorepani Poonhill Trek. A social activist Mahabir Pun found this trekking route for the development of the community.
The trek to Mohare Danda starts from Pokhara to Bans Kharka. Next, the trail continues to Naangi village, the birthplace of Mahabir Pun. From this village, you will cross several forests of birch, rhododendron, and oak trees to reach Mohare Danda. The route is quite challenging with an uphill ascend. However, those challenges offer you exotic close-up views of Nilgiri, Annapurna South, Mt. Fishtail, and Mt. Dhaulagiri. Spending a night at Mohare Danda allows you to enjoy the breathtaking sunrise view the next morning.
Mohare Danda Trek Difficulty Level
It could be the easiest trek in Nepal for the beginners. With a regular break, you will walk for 5 to 6 hours a day. The trail is not that difficult with steep, rugged, or rocky paths. It passes through charming villages, lush green forests, and farmlands. This trek is suitable for any age group, family, friends, or couple as well.
