Also, the beautiful sight of the mountains and the trek distance has attracted many nomads. If you are in excellent physical shape, this trek can be done in less than a week. Route Map and Itinerary of Mardi Himal from Kathmandu

The Mardi Himal Trek Map and Itinerary begins with a drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara. From Pokhara, a short drive will take you to Kande, the starting point of the Mardi Trek. Climb to the Australian Base Camp via Kande to reach Deurali. Often the trail passes through dense forests until you reach Low Camp. From here, the vegetation gradually changes from dense forests to dry terrain. The final stop to spend overnight will be at High Camp. The Mardi Himal Base Camp Hike starts from the high camp early morning and ends the trip retracing the same route back to the low camp. Another two hours of hike down to Siddhing and drive back to Pokhara.

Difficulty Level of Mardi Himal Trek in Nepal

Well, in terms of the trail after the high camp, it is quite challenging even for the beginners with narrow and high ridges. Until High Camp, the pathway is easy through the dense forests and several small camps. Compared to other high-altitude treks like Annapurna Circuit Trek, it is one of the easiest trekking routes in Nepal. The Mardi Himal Base Camp Hike from High Camp is challenging because of its altitude and narrow trail through the ridges. Since you will be trekking with a guide, the journey can be easier to reach at the base of the Mardi Himal.

When to visit Mardi Himal Trek? Best season to do the Trek

For this trek, including other trekking in Nepal, the best season to visit is spring and autumn season.

  • Spring season begins in March and ends in May. The snow-capped peaks sparkle under the blue sky while the weather is pleasant to do the trek. Likewise, the rhododendron flowers along the trek add charm and tranquility during the trip.
  • The Autumn season begins in September and ends in November. The day and night are normally warm and chilly respectively. However, the views during the day are perfect as well and the trekking conditions are favorable too.

The views from the viewpoint of Mt. Fishtail, Annapurna South, Mardi Himal, Hiunchuli, and other several peaks are simply great.
