Itinerary

A representative from Mountain Eco Trails will be at the airport to greet you and welcome you with a garland and flowers. He will then transfer you to your hotel in a private car or Jeep, depending on the group of people. He will help you check in at the hotel. If you arrive during the day or morning, we give you some time to rest, then schedule a meeting. We provide you with the pre-information regarding what to expect during the Lobuche Peak climbing and permit preparation as well. After a meeting, you can have a rest and do some gear shopping if you need. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Wake up early in the morning to catch the flight to Lukla. Our private car will drop you off at the domestic airport for the flight. After doing all the check-ins, fly to Lukla. Enjoy the amazing views of the Himalayas while flying from Kathmandu to Lukla. Upon arriving at Lukla, you will meet your crew members and team up to start the trek to Phakding. The trek from Lukla to Phakding is easy with a gentle descent through the Dudhkoshi River. Cross several suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River and arrive at Phakding for an Overnight stay.

Update about Lukla Flight: During the peak trekking season (March-May) and (September-November), the flight operates from the Manthali Airport. After the first breakfast in the Himalayas of Everest, you will trek to Namche Bazaar from Phakding. After a successful acclimatization at Namche Bazaar, the trip continues to Tengboche today. You will reach almost 5000 meters today. So, you may start to feel the thin air and difficult to breathe. We suggest climbing slowly and gradually. Begin to walk through the broad valley and follow the pathway of the Glacial Moraines of the Khumbu Glacier. Though the trek is short, you may find some difficulties during the walk due to the high altitude. However, the views of the Pumori, Nuptse, and Lobuche East will always give you a beautiful sight during the trek. You will cross the Thula Pass before arriving at Lobuche. Overnight stay at Lobuche. There are only a few teahouses available in the village of Lobuche.

You will reach the most iconic place in the world today. Start the trek early morning, following the rugged and rocky pathway towards Gorak Shep. The hike can be quite exhausting, but the views are equally rewarding, too. After walking for 2-3 hours, you will arrive at Gorak Shep and have a quick Lunch or light snack break.

After taking a short break, you will hike to the Mount Everest Base Camp, the most popular and iconic place in the world. From Gorak Shep to Everest Base Camp, you will walk through the rocky and hilly moraine. You may find it difficult to walk due to the thin air. As you slowly approach Everest Base Camp, the views of the Khumbu Ice Falls, Glaciers, and the surrounding peaks with amaze you. It is an amazing feeling standing in front of the highest peak in the world, Mount Everest. Take your time to cherish the moment and take some pictures of the base camps. After that, you will hike down to Gorak Shep for an overnight stay, retracing the same route.

After a successful Hike to Everest Base Camp from Gorak Shep, you will do another hike early morning today. It will be a Hike to Kala Patthar from Gorak Shep to witness the magical sunrise view over Mount Everest and several other peaks. Hiking for 2.5 hours, you will reach this famous Vantage View Point, from where you will get to see the 360-degree views of Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Khumbu Glacier. Have breakfast at Gorak Shep to fuel yourself. After breakfast, you will return to Lobuche today, from where the real adventure begins. Overnight stay at Lobuche Village.

After embarking on the Everest Base Camp Hike, now time to gear up for some epic mountain climbing. Wake up early to enjoy the hearty breakfast and head towards the Lobuche High Camp. The trek involves the steep climb and navigation of the Lobuche Glaciers and rocky moraine to reach the Lobuche High Camp. It is just a two-hour climb. Upon reaching the high camp, your support staff will help you set up the camp for an overnight stay. After setting up the camp, lunch will be taken and the climbing guide will lead you for the pre-climbing training. Your climbing guide will train you on how to use the crampons, harness, ropes, and ice axe. We suggest listening to your guide carefully and if you have any queries or confusion, feel free to ask your climbing guide. Overnight stay at Lobuche High Camp.

Finally, the day has arrived for your ultimate destination to climb the Lobuche Peak. You will wake up before 3 in the morning and pack your breakfast. The headlamp will come in handy today during the Lobuche Peak Climb. Climbing for 2-3 hours will take you to the crampons point, where you will have to use the crampons. The climb will be through the Lobuche Glaciers. It takes around 5-6 hours to reach the summit from Lobuche High Camp. Do not forget to drink water and take a regular break as altitude sickness can harm you. Slowly and gradually, you will reach the summit. The Lobuche East Peak delivers the jaw-dropping views of the Valleys, Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Glacial Moraines. After spending some time at the top of the Lobuche Peak, it is time to descend to Lobuche High Camp. Take your time to warm your body with hot soup at the High Camp, and further ahead you will trek down to Lobuche once again. Overnight stay at Lobuche.

This is an extra day reserved for the summit if there is a halt during the climb. The weather can be unpredictable sometimes, or climbers may need extra days if they do not acclimatize properly. Hence, having extra days allows you to back up for any unexpected situations.

    Leaving Lobuche, it is time to return now. Always feels joy and happy after a successful trip, time to go back home, or the next destination. From Lobuche, you will pass through several villages like Dingboche, Pangboche, Tengboche, etc. Enjoy the views of Ama Dablam and Everest one last time before arriving at Namche. Though it sounds a long way, climbing down is easy. Upon reaching Namche, you can enjoy a hot shower or even brew coffee. Overnight stay at Namche Bazaar.

Eating nutritious meals for 15 days of trekking and climbing helps you fuel your body and prevent Acute Mountain Sickness. Here are the types of meals you will find during the trip:

      Breakfast: Corn Flakes, Pan Cakes, Potato Items, Tibetan Bread, Chapati, Muesli, Oat Meals, Vegetable soup, and hot drinks like tea/coffee.

      Lunch and Dinner: Nepali Daal Bhat, Spring Roll, Plain Rice, Vegetable Curry, Thukpa, Sherpa Stew, Thenduk, Vegetable Soup, Pizza, Macaroni, Noodles, and so on. You will find more varieties on the menu set by the Khumbu Region.

      Meals during the camping are like noodles, Potato dishes, soup, and canned items. However, we suggest our clients carry dry foods and snacks for the summit day.

      Accommodation during this journey will be in the basic teahouse. The teahouses in the Everest Region are well-established. In our Lobuche Peak Climbing Package cost, the accommodation is included in the teahouses. However, if you want to upgrade the level of accommodation, we can do that with an extra cost on the package. Other than that, these teahouses provide enough facilities for you with a twin-bed sharing room, warm blankets, and pillows. Likewise, some teahouses above Namche Bazaar don’t have attached bathrooms. Hence, be prepared for these kinds of difficulties in the teahouses.
