10 Days Short Manaslu Circuit Trek

The Short Manaslu Circuit Trek 10 Days is a condensed version of the classic Manaslu Circuit Trek, designed for trekkers with limited time who still want a high-altitude Himalayan experience. The route passes through deep river gorges, alpine forests, glacial valleys, and high mountain passes. It appeals to adventure trekkers who value solitude, dramatic landscapes, and high-pass trekking without committing to a longer itinerary

The Short Manaslu Circuit Trek 10 Days is a fast-paced version of Nepal’s classic Manaslu Circuit, designed for experienced trekkers with limited time. The route crosses Larkya La Pass at 5,106 m, follows remote villages from Machha Khola to Dharapani, and skips the usual acclimatisation day, making it physically demanding.

The Short Manaslu Circuit Trek 10 Days is not a soft introduction to trekking in Nepal. It is a compact, high-effort Himalayan circuit built for trekkers who already understand long walking days, basic mountain lodges, altitude pressure, and cold early-morning pass crossings.

This route follows the dramatic Budhi Gandaki Valley, climbs through Tibetan-influenced villages, reaches the high alpine zone near Samdo and Dharamsala, and crosses the wild Larkya La Pass before descending toward Bhimtang and Dharapani.

At Mountain Eco Trails, we recommend this 10-day Manaslu Circuit only for trekkers who are fit, prepared, and comfortable with a fast mountain pace. If you want a gentler rhythm, better acclimatisation, and more cultural time, our standard 12-day Manaslu Circuit Trek is the safer choice.

Can you do the Manaslu Circuit Trek in 10 Days?

Yes, you can do the Manaslu Circuit Trek in 10 Days with prior trekking experience and good physical fitness. The Manaslu Circuit can be completed in 10 days. This fast version skips some rest days. It is best suited for experienced trekkers who have already trekked above 4,000m. The 10-day route still includes the full circuit and Larkya La Pass crossing.

Update: Two of our clients from the US, "Hannah and Peter", completed this 10-day Manaslu Circuit Trek in Spring 2026.

Is the 10-Day Manaslu Circuit Trek Right for You?

The 10-day Manaslu Circuit Trek is right for experienced trekkers who can walk 6 to 9 hours a day, handle basic teahouse conditions, and cope with rapid altitude gain. It is not ideal for beginners because the route has limited acclimatisation time before crossing Larkya La Pass.

This trek is suitable for:

  • Experienced trekkers with limited time in Nepal
  • Fit hikers who can manage long back-to-back trekking days
  • Trekkers who have previously walked above 3,500 m
  • Travellers who prefer remote trails over crowded routes
  • People who understand teahouse simplicity
  • Trekkers who want to cross Larkya La Pass without extending the itinerary
  • Strong walkers comfortable with early starts and cold conditions

Difficulty Level of Short Manaslu Trek

The Short Manaslu Circuit Trek 10 Days is a challenging trek because it combines long walking days, rapid altitude gain, basic lodges, cold conditions, and the high crossing of Larkya La Pass at 5,106 m. It is suitable for experienced trekkers, not first-time hikers.

Physical Fitness required for the Short Manaslu Circuit 10 Days

You should be able to walk 6 to 9 hours per day on uneven terrain. You should be comfortable with uphill climbs, downhill sections, stone steps, suspension bridges, and changing weather. With a challenging difficulty level, trekkers must be well prepared physically. Trekkers should be involved in physical activity like Jogging, Strength training, leg workouts, and cardio exercises.

You must start training 3-4 months before the trek. Also, if you are a beginner and you want to do this 10-Day Short Manaslu Circuit Trek, we recommend preparing around 6 months prior. High-altitude hiking with a backpack would be beneficial.

Mental readiness is equally important, too. At a certain point of this trek, the trekker will feel tired because of the trail and long walking days. Hence, at that moment, pushing yourself mentally can be challenging.
